React-Native Quick Start

Last updated 3 months ago

If you've made it this far, we assume that you already have an instance of the Realm Object Server for syncing data. This section will help you set up a mobile Realm client to sync with it. We created platform-specific tutorials to guide you through learning Realm Platform key functionality and illustrate the differences between Full-sync and Query-Based sync on a design level. Each tutorial is self-contained.

During the tutorial, you will create your first Realm app, a simple ToDo list that automatically performs sync across devices and enables offline functionality. Once you have sync going, you'll add data access permissions to restrict who is able to see your data. To decide which tutorial is right for you, you will want to read about the various pros and cons of our two sync types. At a high level, Query-Based Sync is great for flexibility and convenience while Full-Sync provides superior performance.

The React-Native Full-Sync App tutorial is currently a work in progress.

In the meantime, we do have an older tutorial that can be used as a reference for Full-Sync apps using React.
